According to the , Bard is being discussed as one of United's transfer targets this summer as they look for an attacking left-back. The 23-year-old has impressed for Nice this season and could now make the switch to Old Trafford.

Left-back has been a major issue for United this season with Luke Shaw absent for most of it and Tyrell Malacia unavailable since last summer. Bard would possibly represent an easy deal to do, given Nice are already owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

While he is yet to play at senior level for his country, Bard has represented France from the Under-17s to Under-21s, as well as at the Tokyo Olympics. He will be hoping to find his way into Didier Deschamps' squad for EURO 2024.

WHAT NEXT FOR BARD, NICE AND UNITED?
Both clubs face an uphill task to qualify for next season's Champions League with Nice six points off third in Ligue 1 and United sixth in the Premier League and running out of games. Bard might have to settle for Europa League football wherever he is come August.
